PROTON Wins Best Range Extender EV in the Brighton to London Future Car Challenge!!

The Challenge, organised by the prestigious Royal Automobile Club in the United Kingdom, is a motoring contest for Electric, Hybrid, and Low-Emission Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars. Winners were based on cars with the lowest energy consumption on the 91.2 km drive from Brighton to London. The different categories available for the Challenge were the Full Electric (EV), Hybrid (HEV) and Extended Range EV (E-REV) and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) with up to 110g/km Co2 emission.

A total of 64 cars from the world's most recognised carmakers and individual parties took part in the Challenge, and PROTON participated with the Saga Electric in the EV category and Exora Extended Range EV in the E-REV category. The Exora Extended Range Electric Vehicle emerged as the winner in its category after consuming only 2.2 litres of petrol during the entire Challenge and going against a more prominent name in the global green automotive industry.

PROTON's entry into the Future Car Challenge was a collaboration with one of its technology partners, Frazer-Nash Research Limited. The Saga EV was driven by Mr Noamaan Siddiqi, an engineer from Frazer-Nash and co-piloted by Mike Grice, a Software Engineer also from Frazer-Nash. The Exora was driven by Steve Riches, a Senior Software Engineer from Frazer-Nash, and co-piloted by Rozadatul Intan Safrina Che Rus, an Engineer from Component & Commissioning Section of PROTON's Green Technology Department.

                                                                         CONGRATULATIONS PROTON!!!

Porsche takes aim at Ferrari!

Yes...Finally!Porsche has decided it has had enough of the "frog inspired" Porsches of the 20th and early 21st century!the all new Porsche 928 looks way more upmarket and modern than past models.Designed to challenge the Ferrari 599(which for some reason looks almost the same)the 928 is actually a short wheel based version of the Panamera. Will it go down well with Porsche enthusiast?Judging by initial responses...Not quite.

The 928.

Bugatti gets ready to bid farewell to VEYRON!

The GALIBIER.
Thats right, believe your eyes.Bugatti said it will stop the production of its Veyron model very soon to make way for a more practical 4-door super car(to go head to head with the Aston Martin Rapide,Porsche Panamera and etc.).How do i feel about this?quite sad actually..the Veyron has always been a symbol human intelligence in the field of engineering...(being the fastest car and all)...but i am sure the replacement, the Galibier is anything but awful...then again..only time...(and jeremy clarkson)...can tell.
