Jaguar has decided to take one of the biggest gambles in the history of the automotive industry by agreeing to produce its jet-powered Jaguar C-X75 hybrid concept by 2013 with the help of the Williams F1 team.
The deal was announced in London by Tata Uk chief Carl-Peter Forster, with Sir Frank Williams in attendance. |
It will involve a direct technology transfer between the partners, especially over lightweight structures, and brings Tata ever closer to the F1 connection that has often been rumoured. |
