Renault Puts Captur Into Production,Guns Evoque!



Renault:
Renault’s bold Captur concept which was unveiled at the recent Geneva motor show, will be developed into two separate models, say company insiders.

Renault:
The mainstream version will be a small five-door similar in size to the Nissan Juke while The other will be a three-door version,which clearly hints at a Evoque rival; think of the three-door Range Rover Evoque, but on a smaller scale.

Turbo-Charged Protons By Late 2011


Proton plans to introduce a turbo-charged version of its 1.6-litre Campro engine for the Exora MPV in the third quarter of this year.

Proton Ceo Syed Zainal was quoted saying , “This turbo-charged engine will also be in future Proton models,”  adding that the company was also finalising a project team for its small car collaboration with Nissan which our sources say will be based on the Proton EMAS concept which was showcased at the Geneva Motor show in 2010.
He also said the Proton Exora hybrid was in the final stages of testing and validation in Britain.“There is another two weeks to go. After that, we will deliver the cars to the Malaysian government and selected customers for fleet testing. If everything goes well, the Exora hybrid will be sold to the public next year.”

New Enzo Coming Soon.

Ferrari has started to work on replacing its flagship super car,The Enzo.Details on the project are still scarce at the moment but its safe to say that the engineers in Maranello are working on something very powerful and extremely fast.


Autocar UK quoted an unnamed sources from Ferrari who say the Bugatti Veyron has helped shape what the next Enzo will be.Ferrari is reportedly looking to unleash the Enzo successor in the next year or two, and we're not likely to know much until that time. But at the same time, it's never too early to start dreaming of the next super Ferrari.

MG's Awe Inspiring Concept 5!

MG Motors has used the hometown of its parent company  to reveal the next phase in its ambitious plan to return to "the good old day".


The Concept 5 was unveiled in Shanghai, hints at a forthcoming five-door hatchback in the Ford Focus/Suzuki Swift segment ,a model which would signal the manufacturer's entry into one of the biggest  segments in the industry.

Caterham is being sold to Malaysian entrepreneur Tony Fernandes.

The Kent-based sports car company - which was owned by private equity firm Corven Ventures ,is said to have struck a deal with the Malaysian that will bring fresh investment and ambitious product plans.
The deal is set to make Caterham the second British company to go under Malaysian Ownership After Lotus,who are owned by Malaysian Automaker Proton.Fernandes is currently embroiled in a court battle with Lotus Cars over the use of the name in Formula One. Buying Caterham could give him a potential alternative brand to market.

Dutch "Super Bus"

Meet the "Superbus", a bizarre EV with six-wheels, 16 gullwing doors and enough room for 23 passengers.
Brainchild of Wubbo Ockels,who is Holland's first astronaut, it's designed to create a sustainable form of transport that's as fast as a train but with the flexibility of a bus.
The bus has an electric motor which is powered by a lithium polymer battery pack and a top speed of 155mph.

Ladies and Gents,i give you,The Volvo’s Concept Universe, the first indication of the company’s future direction under Chinese ownership and,honestly,it looks awful.

Unveiled at the Shanghai motor show, the "Universe" is described by Volvo as a “large, luxurious sedan with a new human-centric design language that honours the beautiful lines of classic Volvo models”.

Stefan Jacoby, president and CEO of Volvo, said the Concept Universe offers “a sneak preview of what people can expect from our next top-of-the-line sedan”.If thats the case,nothing is going to save Volvo from sinking.

Chevy Malibu Debuted Officially!

After the whole "leaked image" fiasco; General Motors has officially debuted the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu ahead of its global introduction at the Shanghai Motor Show. The model boasts a all-new fresh design inside and out along with more efficient drivetrain options. GM says the new Malibu will compete in over 100 markets.
GM has shortened the Malibu overall, though the vehicle is both wider and offers more trunk space and more rear legroom than the previous-generation vehicle. That said, it is believed that those back thrones may be a tight fit head-room-wise for taller people.
Under the hood, buyers can look forward to a more-efficient 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. The direct-injection mill delivers 190 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, though GM hasn't released any mileage estimates at this point

The Volkswagen Beetle has gone under the knife and emerged as a more masculine car, Volkswagen global marketing director Luca de Meo was quoted saying "We worked on the entire packaging of the car, engine, trunk, interior, everything." Take a close look at it, and it's clear.

VW laid out three objectives for the new hatchback: Bring back the spirit of the original, which means making it affordable, tough, and easy to use; to rekindle with the emotion of the car; and bring the shape and concept of the original into the 21st century.

Proton Secures Funding For Lotus Ambitious Plans


Just hours after being denied a loan by the UK goverment,Lotus has been given the funding it needs to fuel its revolution plans by none other than Proton,its parent company.The funding,of course is not directly from Proton them self,but is from a group of Malaysian Banks,namely CIMB Bank, Malayan Banking, Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation, Export-Import Bank of Malaysia, Affin Bank and EON Bank.What this means is all the awe inspiring concepts showcased by Lotus during the Paris Autoshow,will be put to production.Looks like Lotus's five year turn around plan has taken a big step closer to reality,all the best Lotus.


Chinese Peugeot Concept

Peugeot is set to debut a new crossover concept at the upcoming Shanghai Autoshow,which is said to be made exclusively for the Chinese car market
The SCX crossover concept wasn't just designed for Shanghai, it was designed in Shanghai as well, at Peugeot's Shanghai design studio. The shape bears the hallmarks of contemporary Lion-badged show cars but in a svelte crossover shape that's shorter in both length and height but wider than the class leading BMW X6.

New Defender in The Pipelines!

Land Rover has finally begun work on replacing its iconic Defender.
John Edwards, Land Rover’s global brand director, said the company was “serious about replacing the Defender” and revealed that the first results of the project “would be seen in the next two to three years”.the new project will involve a huge investment by Tata, Indian-based owner of Land Rover. As well as a brand new platform and factory space, a wide range of body styles is expected to include station wagons and pick-ups, as well as bespoke specials for commercial customers. The first of the new models is expected to roll off the production line by mid-2015.

Chevrolet Malibu Unveiled!(by accident)


General Motors Co. said it "accidentally" unveiled its new global car the Malibu today.The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu was supposed to be unveiled on Monday, but it is now on almost all automotive websites around the Web.GM spokesman Dave Darovitz said the early posting of the image on GM’s media website this morning was an accident which seems a tad too unbelievable to me.Publicity stunts aside,the Malibu looks like a sure winner for Chevy.

Audi A3 revealed!

Audi has just released  images of its all new A3, The images reveal the fact that the three-door version of the small car will have crisper edges, in line with the current model range, instead of the angular looks of the current model.

The styling is characterised by Audi's new face, previously seen on the new A6. That means a set of new angular headlights and a hexagonal grille as well as a pair of large air intakes mounted either side of the front bumper. the car is expected to be launched by early next year.

Subaru will launch a new crossover concept at the coming Shanghai motor show.

Lexus's Hybrid Future

Lexus has decided to unveil the LF-Gh – which stands for Lexus Future Grand-Touring Hybrid – ahead of its official debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show. Lexus describes the styling of its latest conceptual hybrid sedan as something of a contradiction in terms.
As a grand-touring sedan, Lexus says the rear-wheel-drive LF-Gh will offer plenty of room for "multiple occupants at higher speeds on long-distance drives.

Its no secret that the Q3 is essentially a smaller Q5, and this is clearly seen based on its the exterior appearance. Audi’s latest corporate front end makes an appearance, complete with the new grille found on the A6 and trapezoidal lower air intakes.

Spyshots of New Tiida/Latio Surface!

Undisguised photos of the all new Tiida/Latio hatchback as it sits in a parking lot in China has made its way to the internet. The hatch shares a virtually identical front end to that of the Versa sketch Nissan previewed back in October.


The spy photo shows an overall styling improvement compared to the outgoing Tiida/Latio,but nothing to shout about.

Mercedes is set to transform the next-generation Mercedes A-class into a high-quality, sporty rival for the Audi A3 and BMW 1-series.

Audi's Quattro Looks Set For Production!


Audi’s radical new Quattro coupĂ© looks set to be given the green light for production.
A single engineering prototype, based on an S5, has been built by Audi’s Quattro division. It will be sampled by members of the Audi board before the project gets the official go-ahead.However, insiders say the Quattro now looks a certainty for launch in 2013.

New M5 Unveiled


     The new 2012 F10 BMW M5 concept is here.

The performance luxury saloon was unveiled in Munich in a private gathering for select journalists over the weekend, the new super-saloon concept features a deeper front bumper, subtly-wider front wings and signature, chrome-rimmed air vents and LED repeater lamps.

Other external details include M-specific 20-inch alloys (clad in 265/35 ZR20 tyres at the front and 265/35 ZR20 tyres at the back) and M-specific lowered suspension.

Chevrolet is celebrating its 100th anniversary in style by unveiling a striking new all-wheel drive hybrid sports car concept at the Seoul motor show.

Kia has revealed an electric concept named Naimo at the Seoul motor show.

The 'crossover utility vehicle' (CUV) is powered by twin 27kWh lithium-ion batteries located under the boot floor, which drive a 108bhp electric motor with 207lb ft of torque.
