The Malaysian Super Car That Vanished.

It was a car that could have propelled Malaysia into the Elite Club of Super-Car makers,a car that could have broken many boundaries,re-write history and pave the way for others to follow suit.Unfortunately the dream of a Malaysian super-car remains as distant as ever.
The Esna Venere
It was named the Esna Venere concept.Made by EsnaSports Malaysia and was to be powered by a technologically advanced six-cylinder 3.0 supercharged engine with a projected top speed of 300km/h.
It's truly sad that this project followed the owner of EsnaSports to the grave,i personally felt it had alot of potential.

But maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel after all.The 2010 Kuala Lumpur Motor Show saw the birth of a Supercar concept from Malaysian carmaker Proton.Dubbed as the Proton Lekir concept,it could fill the void left by the Venere. We'll have to wait for time to tell if this is real or just another auto show "treat".

India's answer to Flying cars!

Indian inventor, A.K. Vishwanath, has claimed that he has made a flying car with the help of India's first small car, Maruti.
Made out of an ordinary 800cc Maruti, it has rotor blades affixed to the roof with extended wheelarches creating a "vacuum section", and has been one of the star attractions at the recent Aero India 2011 air show in Bangalore.

The car was developed by Vishwanath's company, B'Lorean, named after his home of Bangalore and the winged DeLorean sports car of the 1980s, famously used as a time machine in Hollywood' flick 'Back To The Future' series of films. The car isnt as 'futuristic' as other flying cars such as the Moller Skycar but then again,is there even a market for flying cars?

Ford Start is The New Ka?

A spiritual successor for the Ford Ka?the Ford Start was unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show a few months ago,the Ford Ka sized machine was designed by Ford's California-based design offices for ever-growing cities in the Far East.
With its cheeky, bold and tasteful design, the Start Concept looks like the next evolution of
the Ka,but unlike the Ka,Ford has pointed out it won't be making its way to Europe, its an Asian Market ONLY product!

Mini Roadster Ready to Rumble!

Its all systems go for the Mini Roadster. The sporty two-seat convertible from Mini was revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and will be made solely in Mini's Oxfordshire plant.
It's take dead aim at the likes of the Mazda MX-5 and the Audi TT Roadster, and has a raked-back front windscreen to give it a really sleek profile.

Sales will kick off in early 2012 with a price tag of around £18,000, but expect MINI to officially reveal the production version before the end of the year.

I'm disappointed that the "replacement" looks 90% the same as its predecessor,a real shame that Perodua/Daihatsu/Toyota decided to play it too safe.

Leaf + 370z = The Nissan Esflow!

Fancy an electric version of a 370z to satisfy the "Go Green" activist in you, well,Nissan is planing to give you one.Dubbed the Esflow,it features a bespoke rear-drive platform and electric components from the Leaf and it could inspire a future production model.

Geneva motor show 2011:

The two-seater has a similar profile to the 370Z, and its futuristic looks mix 370Z and Leaf design cues. A pair of electric motors drive the rear axle, each independently controlling a wheel for optimised torque distribution and stability ,allowing for a 0-62mph time of less than five seconds. The range from its lithium-ion battery pack borrowed from the Leaf is just shy of 150 miles
Geneva motor show 2011:
Officially, the Esflow is billed as a vision of how a sports car of the future might look. But a source has indicated that Nissan will gauge public reaction to Esflow at Geneva, and its looks could be used in a future production model.
