Malaysia's second carmaker has just announced a new version of their Alza MPV. Called the Perodua Alza Exclusive Edition, it will see limited production and should arrive later this year.

The car is built to commemorate the visit of former Malaysia Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to Perodua’s manufacturing plant in Rawang. The company has built two such models before, the Perodua Viva Elite Exclusive Edition and the Perodua Myvi Limited Edition, but unlike them, the Alza will be limited to just 500 units.

buyers can expect some visual differentiation, more colors and interior updates for a slight increase in price. It should come with the same exclusive Classy Purple metallic color, in addition to the existing Ivory White solid color.

The car was named from a Spanish verb, alzar, meaning 'to raise'. This was decided following an internal competition held among Perodua's staff during the development phase.
